On the latest episode of the AEI Banter podcast, friend-of-the-show Joe Antos returns to give Stu and Andrew the play by play on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. The administration recently pushed back the start of the employer mandate. We ask Joe why the White House made this move and what the likely consequences of the policy change will be. We then discuss health care premiums. The President recently claimed that health insurance costs have been cut by as much as 50 percent in some places. We ask Joe about the validity of that claim. He certainly has some thoughts. Last, we take a look at health care exchanges. Joe walks us through some of the difficulties that the state and national agencies are having. With a law as complex as the ACA, it’s hard to keep track of its progress. But Joe zeros in on a few key areas that deserve particular attention. Enjoy!
