On the latest episode of AEI’s Banter podcast, we sit down with AEI Critical Threats guru Will Fulton to track Iran’s involvement in Syria. Will walks us through how he’s managed to asses Iranian influence using open source data. You’ll be amazed with what he’s been able to determine from judgmentally scrutinizing publically available information. He then lays out the nature of Iranian involvement – training, supplies, and intelligence. What level of influence does Iran have in Syria? Will the conflict spread out of Syria? What is the U.S. currently doing in the region? Is now the right time to buy that discount time share in Syria? All these question and more on the latest episode of Banter. Enjoy!

In the 42nd episode of Banter, Maseh Zarif, AEI Research Manager and Iran Team Lead for the Critical Threats Project, talks with us about Iran’s current nuclear capabilities.  Maseh lays out a chillingly accurate picture what Iran would need in order to develop a nuclear device, Iran’s current capabilities, and possible timelines of when this all could become a reality. We pay particular attention to what goes into producing highly enriched uranium, the ingredient in all this. Even more impressive, Maseh has put all of this together using publicly available information. It’s spooks Andrew enough that he resolves to build himself a bomb shelter.
